About the Event
Unfortunately, we've cancelled this class due to very low attendance. We hope of hold a similar class this autumn or next spring.
Iowa is home to remarkable reptiles and amphibians like gray treefrogs, northern leopard frogs, chorus frogs, painted turtles, snapping turtles, garter snakes, fox snakes, brown snakes, and even the striking five-lined skink. These creatures help control pests, balance ecosystems, and signal the health of our land—yet they often go unnoticed.
During this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make your yard, patio, or neighborhood green space more welcoming to these wild neighbors.
During the first half of the class you will:
Meet Iowa’s Common Species: Enjoy live reptiles and amphibians up close, ask questions, and replace myths with understanding.
